Klaros Group Welcomes Catherine M. Brown as Partner

Klaros Group, an advisory and investment business focused on the future of financial services, is proud to welcome Catherine M. Brown as a partner.

A seasoned compliance and ethics professional, Catherine has been working as a senior advisor for the firm since March 2020, specializing in regulatory risk management and consumer compliance in the financial services industry. She now joins as the sixth partner.

“From her in-depth knowledge of the complex regulatory and compliance landscape to her extensive consulting background, Catherine brings a unique skill set and expertise to our firm,” said Klaros Group co-founder, Konrad Alt. “She’s already proven herself to be an invaluable asset to Klaros and we’re thrilled to have her on board as a full-time partner.”

Prior to joining Klaros, Catherine was a founding partner of Treliant Risk Advisors, where she co-led the regulatory compliance practice. She also previously consulted in the Financial Institutions Risk Management practice of Crowe Horwath, LLP where she provided thought leadership and advisory support in matters pertaining to consumer compliance, AML, and Enterprise Risk Management. Catherine is also an experienced operating executive, having held senior management positions at Citizens Financial Group, and its predecessor bank, Charter One Bank, N.A.

“While the work is what initially drew me to Klaros Group, it’s the people that make this opportunity a humbling one,” said Brown. “The collective knowledge, passion and integrity of my colleagues is unparalleled and I’m excited to work alongside them in this new role as we expand our roster of clients.”

Catherine received her J.D. from the University of Dayton School of Law, an M.B.A. from Case Western Reserve University, and studied International Law at Cambridge University in England. Catherine is also an instructor at the American Bankers Association’s Compliance School. She also served as a volunteer member of the Economic Policy Committee on President-Elect Biden’s 2020 campaign.
